Fools In April

Finally made the switch from drinking 2 red bulls (8 oz.) a day to coffee (Frederik signature blend) as part of an effort to get healthier this year, and it's gone well. That was 90% of my daily sugar intake and it's taken a bit for my body to adjust, but otherwise: a good change!

I've watched an inordinate amount of college basketball this year, so of course my bracket got torn to shreds the first weekend, only for my upset picks to totally bomb in the second. Somewhat embarassing for the guy who runs the work bracket pool every year, but I've been mercifully spared the title of WBOTY.

Went through and upgraded the site a little this month, bringing up the Astro version and trying to get used to OS X again: I ended up not opting for an ML-focused machine since that's generally not what I do in my day-to-day professional life, but I did finally have to retire the surface: it smelled like a small electrical fire every time work got delegated to the GPU.
