Songs for the Month of August 2024

Hard to believe I’m 35! I ended up buying a new (used) Rav 4 outright (the apr on used auto loans is nuts right now so I just wired it) after my car got totaled- it’s nice! Outside of that it’s starting to feel like things in my life are starting to decelerate a little bit: need like one day where I can have 4 hours or so of time to just sit on my bed and look at the ceiling.

Watched a good amount of Olympics and that Steph shot was the craziest thing I’ve ever seen. Slowly working through the news season of the Bear but sometimes that show feels so tortured for what it is (workplace dramady?) I dunno. Finished the new season of the Boys though: incredibly cringe, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

Added some AWS stuff behind the scenes for this site (API gateway/ladma/SNS) instead of adding a proper back-end which, aside from configuration woes, seems way easier to manage. Currently juggling an SCM migration, a greenfield project that handles enqueing a poor quality data stream for approval, a dozen web server OS migrations, and an in-house greenfield full-stack messaging system at work so not feeling very motivated to spend a lot of time on the computer in the evenings: sue me!
